We left this morning only anticipating a one day stay in Tybee Island, River’s End Campground. We saw our first pelicans of the trip, crossing into South Carolina and then Georgia. The Spanish Moss was hanging from all the center divider trees, very southern and very engaging, saying you are in the southern!
When we drove arrived the entrance was disconcerting, a narrow entrance that appeared over-crowded and not much. When we were led to our site, we were able to back in with no problem and it was quiet, fairly private as campgrounds go, and pleasant.
The next adventure was a walk on Tybee Island beach, a brief stroll from our site. It was private, peaceful, and a gentle view of the Savannah River. This was such a lovely setting, we decided to stay an extra night.

Fun Hayride for the holiday!
Since it was pizza Friday, we made dough and fixed our regular dinner 🙂 Always so proud of ourselves when we can consistently fix our dinners since we cannot go out, being older, and like to eat from scratch.
