Today was a special tradition, and one we have been unable to enjoy since the Pandemic. We went from Hope Mills, N.C. to a special city…Charleston, S.C. (actually Mt. Pleasant).
Arriving at the park, we saw herons, egrets, warblers, and crows. While we see them at home, these need to be recorded on our travel bird list.
A celebratory dinner took place at The Peninsula Grill for a family birthday.
Drinks and dinner were amazing. Tasty food and gracious service. Sitting at a Southern bar with special drinks was special, frosty only once in a while martini and unusual offering of margarita.
